Off the list: Rafael Devers

Don’t look now, but as I am writing this, Bryce Harper is hitting .364 on the season. The former MVP is on an eight-game hitting streak in which he is slashing a robust .480/.567/.880. The talent has never been a question for Harper, it was just a matter of consistency, and he looks like he is back on that MVP level.

Off the list: Corey Dickerson, Starlin Castro (injury), Miguel Cabrera

Nick Solak is hitting .429 over his last seven games and his AVG sits at .299 for the year thus far. As long as Solak is getting regular playing time, he should be a fine mixed league option for AVG to go along with some pop and some speed.

Off the list: DJ LeMahieu (injury)

Trevor Story has developed into such a solid all-around hitter. His walk rate has increased over the last two years and, in comparison, his strikeout rate has nearly been cut in half so far in 2020. Hitting in front of Charlie Blackmon, who is hitting nearly .450, and Nolan Arenado certainly will lead to a ton of runs scored.

Off the list: Renato Nunez (ownership), Kyle Seager (ownership), Brett Gardner

The Diamondbacks have scored more runs than teams such as the Cubs, Red Sox, and Phillies, and Kole Calhoun has been a big contributor. The veteran outfielder has been hitting atop the D’Backs lineup after previously hitting in the two spot, so expect the runs to continue.

Dominic Smith is finally getting regular run in the Mets lineup. After being considered a top prospect within their system, Smith has never gotten more than a platoon’s chance to produce. That has changed thus far in this abbreviated season, and should be owned in more leagues right now.

With five homer and seven RBI over the past week, Anthony Rendon appears to be back on track since returning from injury to start the year. A hitter the caliber of Rendon hitting behind Mike Trout is going to be fun to watch for many years to come.

Batting cleanup regularly for the (Buffalo) Blue Jays, Teoscar Hernandez has a trio of dingers and seven RBI over the past week. His season total of RBI is up to 14 as I am writing this, and even his batting average is over .300. He is definitely worth the add.

Lot of movement on this list due to a lot of unfortunate injuries. Andres Gimenez is getting enough playing time to warrant a look in most leagues. If you are in need of some speed from a guy who has some decent contact skills, you could do a lot worse.

The time has finally come. Former first overall pick in the 2018 draft, Casey Mize, has gotten the call to come up to the big club in Detroit. Mize has been very good throughout the minor leagues, and as an older, more polished college prospect, Mize could very easily hit the ground running and not look back. Go pick him up.

I would have to believe that even the most optimistic of Dylan Bundy’s fans did not see this type of season coming. While there is still about two-thirds of the year to go, Bundy is off to races in his new threads, posting a 1.57 ERA while averaging nearly 11 K/9.

While the numbers on the surface are not pretty for Josh Lindblom, the guy has been racking up the K’s. The 33-year old is averaging over 14 K/9 and if he can figure things out, he could be a very attractive add in mixed leagues.

Valdez has had success at the big league level before and should definitely be more owned with starting pitching being at such a premium.
