Don’t look now, but as I am writing this, Bryce Harper is hitting .364 on the season. The former MVP is on an eight-game hitting streak in which he is slashing a robust .480/.567/.880. The talent has never been a question for Harper, it was just a matter of consistency, and he looks like he is back on that MVP level.

Nick Solak is hitting .429 over his last seven games and his AVG sits at .299 for the year thus far. As long as Solak is getting regular playing time, he should be a fine mixed league option for AVG to go along with some pop and some speed.

Trevor Story has developed into such a solid all-around hitter. His walk rate has increased over the last two years and, in comparison, his strikeout rate has nearly been cut in half so far in 2020. Hitting in front of Charlie Blackmon, who is hitting nearly .450, and Nolan Arenado certainly will lead to a ton of runs scored.

Finding closers has been an absolute crapshoot this year. The majority of these guys are pretty bottom of the barrel.

Through five starts, Kyle Hendricks has a WHIP below 1.00. Hendricks has a career WHIP of 1.11 so it would not be farfetched to see the veteran right-hander finish the shortened season with a sub-1.00.

Back to back quality starts has mad Framber Valdez a top add on most waiver wires. He is still only 50% owned in Yahoo leagues, yet the man has posted an ERA of 1.90 across 23.2 IP. Valdez has had success at the big league level before and should definitely be more owned with starting pitching being at such a premium.
