Top 500 Dynasty Rankings

Top 500 Dynasty Rankings for 2021 Fantasy Baseball.

Welcome to PitcherList 6.0!

I, like so many of my incredible colleagues, have been hard at work crafting a pair of lists for you all to read ahead of the 2021 MLB season: a list of my top 100 dynasty prospects and my top 500 dynasty overall rankings.

Creating a list of 500 dynasty players is hard enough as it is, but doing it after a shortened, stressful season as we saw in 2020 makes it all the more difficult. For young big league players, how do we evaluate large changes in performance? Is someone like Randy Arozarena or Devin Williams for real? What about guys who struggled, like Yoan Moncada or Jose Altuve?

It’s not feasible to just completely ignore 2020, but it’s also foolish to treat it like a full season – or to ignore the very real impact COVID-19 had on everyone, either indirectly or directly, like in the case of Moncada or Tarik Skubal.

Before diving into the list, I want to highlight my general strategy in dynasty leagues – which is to win in the first two years. Obviously it’s still important to build for the future, so there are still plenty of very young prospects in the top-100, but for the most part I’m trying to put together a team that will win right away.

It’s also important to note that every draft is different, and every league is formatted different as well. This list focuses primarily on 5×5 standard scoring, so those in OBP or QS leagues will want to adjust accordingly (you can always ask me questions in the comments if you wish!).

Without further ado, here is my top 500 dynasty list for the 2021 season.
