Freddie Freeman Total RBI O/U 0.5

Ho-hum, Freddie Freeman is quietly putting together an MVP caliber season for Atlanta, slashing .340/.460/.624 with 11 HR. The 31-year old is also third in baseball with 48 RBI, behind José Abreu and Luke Voit, and has seemingly been on the FTN Bets’ Hot Hitter Report all season.

Freddie is pretty comfortable in the box against any pitcher, but he sees the ball especially well out of José Ureña’s hand. In his career, Freeman is 12-for-28 with four HR and 11 RBI against the righty. To put it in perspective, in a full season that would be the equivalent of 100 HR and 275 RBI. Freeman hasn’t had a huge year with the long ball, so I am looking at the Over on his RBI tonight, especially at +112.

Pick: OVER 0.5 (+112 DK)

Cardinals @ Royals Total Runs After 5 Innings O/U 4.5

As the season winds down few teams have struggled as much at the plate as the Cardinals and Royals. The Missouri duo has produced a 52 and 53 wRC+ respectively over the last week and each team has an OPS under .560. Both teams have been especially inept lately in the first five innings, as each team has scored more than two runs in the first five innings just once over their last six games.

On the mound, Brady Singer has been dominant in his last two starts, throwing 14 total shutout innings while allowing just six baserunners with 16 strikeouts. For the Cardinals, Austin Gomber has been exceptional all year, but has been especially effective in his two starts allowing no ER in 5.2 total IP. I expect both pitchers to continue their success early in the game against these underwhelming offenses.

Pick: UNDER 4.5 Runs (+100 DK)

Framber Valdez Ks O/U 5.5

Framber Valdez was absolutely electric in his last start against lowly Texas, and now he gets an equally as poor opponent in Seattle. After striking out 11 Rangers in 6.1 IP on Thursday, Valdez gets a Mariners team that has posted a 32.7 K% over the last week, good for second-worst in baseball. Seattle has been one of the worst teams all season against LHP as well with a 74 wRC+ and a 27.0 K%, the third-worst rate in baseball. At +110, I will gladly take over 6.5 Ks for the upstart lefty.

Pick: OVER 6.5 Ks (+110 DK)
