Zach Britton’s Fastball – There was plenty of talk about Britton over the weekend as the trade deadline neared, though Britton stayed put ultimately. The result was Britton showing off his unreal Fastball, which struck out Salvador Perez with mind-blowing drop at 97mph. Unreal.

Michael Fulmer’s Repertoire – Despite his final line looking ghastly, Fulmer was looking impressive early, showing off the range of his excellent repertoire in the first inning. Watch him place a fading Changeup off the corner to Jacoby Ellsburythen throw a tempting Slider off the outside corner to Aaron Judge before freezing him with a 99mph Fastball that started in the same spot until it zoomed back for a strike.

Ubaldo Jimenez’s Splitter – Ubaldo’s last two starts have been a glimpse into his brilliant past, allowing just three ER across 13 frames. His Splitter has been working well and it got Lorenzo Cain go to fishing in the sixth inning as it danced along the outside corner.

Dellin Betances‘ Curveballs – It’s one thing to make a batter flinch on a breaking ball – we’ve seen plenty buckle their knees against Betances’ bender. But what if you got future Hall-of-Famer Miguel Cabrera to shake in the box three times in one at-bat? Now that’s something special.

Danny Duffy’s Slider – Duffy coasted through the Orioles lineup on Monday evening and started his sixth inning of work with a strikeout of Chris DavisHe turned to his Slider for the final blow and executed it beautifully, starting in the middle of the zone before dying off into the dirt and away from Davis’ bat.
