Notes

  • We have eight new additions this week, which include Pedro Strop, Shawn Kelley, Nick Pivetta, Fernando Rodney, Trey Wingenter, Richard Rodriguez, Evan Marshall, and Tyler Duffey. Strop and Kelley returned from the IL this week, and while Kelley won’t be closing anymore, he figures to be the team’s top setup option.
  • Leaving the list are Wade Davis, Adam Morgan, Sam Dyson, Brandon Kintzler, Roenis Elias, Hector Rondon, Lou Trivino, and Wander Suero. Davis is out as closer in Colorado and currently working in low-leverage situations. He’s only worth hanging onto in deeper dynasty formats. Morgan, Dyson, Kintzler, and Elias are all currently on the IL and only worth stashing in deep leagues with open IL spots.
  • I believe this is the first week, excluding the All-Star break, where we haven’t seen at least one reliever with at least three SV+HLD. We did have 14 relievers pick up two SV+HLD, but hopefully we can get some better SV+HLD numbers for next week and beyond.

Nick Anderson is filthy and setting up for a contending team. Any insight to the drop and relatively low rank?

    • Rick Graham says:

He’s been good since the move to TB but still has yet to record a hold in 3 games. He’s pitching in front of Pagan which is a good sign. I didn’t actually drop him (others moved up) and consider him someone who could move up quickly if he can find consistency in that tough to predict bullpen.
