Every weekend here at Pitcher List, I review all expected starting pitcher matchups for the week ahead. There are three labels: Start, Maybe, and Sit. Outings marked with a Maybe are circumstantial and dependent on your needs in a 12-teamer, while the other two are self-explanatory. Feel free to question my designations in the comments and we’ll dive into it together.
MAJOR NOTE: This week is a little different as plenty of teams haven’t revealed their full rotations out of the break just yet. Additionally, we have a 10-day week as opposed to a 7-day week, making it more difficult to predict the proper matchups. Because there are so many shakeups, I will be doing just these weekend games today and will have a Monday-Sunday table come out Sunday evening as well. Sorry for the disarray, but it’s the best method to avoid confusion for all.
Here’s the table containing every weekend start from 7/14 – 7/16:

Starting Berrios vs. the Astros? What’s your reasoning?
Berrios got burried
hey nick, would you move thames/rendon/cole in return for krhis davis/degrom/eduardo nunez?
C – Sal Perez
1 – Goldy
2 – Carpenter
3 – Rendon
SS – Lindor
OF – Trout
OF – Thames
OF – Ozuna
UTIL – D Santana
UTIL – Bautista
BN – Kinsler
BN – Merrifield
SP – Carrasco, Verlander, Cole, Paxton, Manae, Taillon, Cahill, Castillo (thanks for the castillo suggestion, i hadn’t paid attention till I read about him on yoru site…snatched him up quick)
Hoffman a sneaky “very good” @ Mets?
I wouldn’t say that. Whiff rate below 6% is his last five starts is a little disheartening,
It says that Duffy is starting Saturday vs. TEX. If so, is he a start, maybe, or sit?
Let Duffy fly.
Thanks Nick, I’m firing up my Duffy!
Also wondering about Taillon vs. STL today (he’s starting, not Kuhl). I’m thinking he’s almost a set and forget type pitcher, so definitely roll him out there vs. the Cards?
I just picked up Castillo… are we starting him against the Nats tn?
Too big of a risk against the Nats.
OK fine, i knew you would say that!
