Pirates Party Boat and 6 Weirdly Wonderful Things From Saturday

The final Saturday of regular-season baseball did not disappoint.

The final regular-season games kick off today and the season that was never meant to be has turned into one of the most exciting seasons in Major League history. Next week, 16 teams will participate in the expanded playoffs.

It has been another miserable year for Pittsburgh Pirates fans. So, I wanted to show them some love on this final weekend of the season, and give them a reason or two to look forward to next year. The Pirates bullpen was definitely feeling positive during today’s win against the Cleveland Indians – Bryan Reynolds gave them plenty of reason to.

The enigmatic Fernando Tatis Jr. is now tied for the lead in Home Runs in the National League thanks to this bomb today.

The Dodgers Were Lights Out

 

There was a 25-minute power outage at Dodger Stadium today. It was a beautiful moment that caught us all off guard. We love baseball.

 

Vogelbach Loses His Head

 

The power outage was not the only glitch yesterday. Somewhat more serious was the mysterious disappearance of Daniel Vogelbach’s head.
