Every morning we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the First Half. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Luis Severino’s Slider – Severino now has 27 Ks and 2 BBs on the year using a Fastball that touches 98 MPH and his hard Slider. His potential to be an ace hinges on the development of his Changeup, but he’s doing just fine for the time being. Here he throws an unhittable Slider that Avisail Garcia wishes he wouldn’t have swung at.(Thanks to @jdubbcee for the tip!)

Brian Johnson’s Curveball – Johnson was filling in for Eduardo Rodriguez as he welcomes his first child to the world, and for not having pitched in the majors since 2015 Johnson did just fine. His big Zito-like Curveball gets the burly Kendry Morales to look overwhelmed. (Thanks to Redditor Reacto– for the tip!)

Hector Neris’ Splitter – Neris didn’t have much competition for the closer job in Philly, but his sharp Splitter would play in any bullpen. Neris may have the best Splitter in the game, and Asdrubal Cabrera could only swing over the top of for the first out of the 8th inning.

Max Scherzer’s Slider – Scherzer’s fast start to the season has solidified his position as second best pitcher in the majors. Last night’s start included only 2 Hits and was rather ho-hum. Here Scherzer throws a nice Slider sweeping across the zone to get Adonis Garcia. (Thanks to Redditor efitz11 for the tip!)

Adam Ottavino’s Slider – Ottavino is a great option in fantasy whether your league has holds as a category or not. His rate stats are good, and he’s got the potential to nab the closer job later on in the year. This Slider is as filthy as they come, starting out of the hand en route to Justin Turner’s hip before acting like a whiffle-ball and bending back to the inside corner. (Thanks to @RFreemyer Redditors SheeshMeesh and  Sharknado2016 for the tips!)
