Every morning we review the five best pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the “GIF of the Week”. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Felix Hernandez’s Curveball – It’s been a roller-coaster season for Felix, but he was in prime form Wednesday night against the A’s. He buckled Coco Crisp’s knees on this mighty hook in the fifth en route to seven strikeouts on the afternoon.

Brad Brach’s Changeup – The Orioles have seen some struggles as they fight for a playoff spot, but they pulled off the Win last night as Brach helped hold the lead late. This Changeup he threw to Lorenzo Cain had us confused why he hadn’t been featured here before. (Thanks to Reddit user Expensive*********** for the tip!)

Tyson Ross‘ Slider – Not only does this GIF feature a sharp breaking slide piece that falls in the perfect lefty location, but it also displays Bryce Harper missing poorly as he whiffs for strike three. Goes to show how nasty Ross’ Slider can be.

Bartolo Colon’s Fastball – We almost didn’t include this pitch because it didn’t look like a strike. Brooks Baseball shows it was right on the black, helping us love this Fastball that returns to nip the black of the plate. (Thanks to Reddit user Saydrex for the tip!)

Chris Archer’s Slider – Archer has one of the best Sliders in the game, generating a boatlaod of movement at 89 MPH. Here Miguel Sano doesn’t come close as the ball falls away from his bat.
