Top SP: Mike Soroka, ($9,000) at ARI

Mike Soroka has been just what the doctor ordered for a Braves team that has struggled to begin the season. The young right-hander is sporting a 1.14 ERA along with a 10.27 K/9 in 23.2 innings. In his four starts, he has yet to allow more than one earned run and strike out fewer than six batters. With a sinker that is very tough to hit (.207 BAA), look for Soroka to continue the success against a Diamondbacks team that has collectively hit .235 against the righty.

Honorable Mention: Patrick Corbin ($9,000) at LAD.

Value SP: Wade Miley, ($6,800) vs. TEX

Throwing four quality starts in his seven outings so far, Wade Miley has been a nice boost to this Astros rotation. Look for him to stay on par as he goes heads up with a Rangers team that is currently ranked 25th in batting average against left-handed pitchers. Texas as a team is hitting .235 against Miley over 136 at-bats. Using his cutter more than ever, the lefty has excelled at Minute Maid Park this season with a 2.08 ERA.

Honorable Mention: Joe Musgrove ($7,300) at STL.

OF: Mike Trout, ($5,600) vs. (LHP Ryan Carpenter)

Making his first start of the season, Ryan Carpenter has the luxury of facing Mike Trout later today. The lefty had a taste of the big leagues last season and delivered a 7.25 ERA in just 22.1 innings. Not much can be said about Trout that hasn’t already been said, although I am curious as to why he is just the fourth-most expensive hitter on the board and not the first.

Honorable Mention: Ronald Acuna ($4,200) at ARI.

2B/3B: DJ LeMahieu, ($4,500) vs. (RHP Mike Leake)

A professional hitter, DJ LeMahieu has had success against Mike Leake in the past with five hits in 12 at-bats. Currently hitting .316 with eight extra-base hits vs. right-handed pitchers on the season, the former Rockie has been a revelation for the Yankees, who have had trouble finding bats to insert into their lineup. Leake hasn’t fared well against the Yanks in the past, and I don’t expect that to change on getaway day.

Honorable Mention: Justin Turner ($4,200) vs. WAS.

Value Bat: Melky Cabrera, ($3,400) vs. (RHP Michael Wacha)

The Melk Man has experienced somewhat of a career resurgence in Pittsburgh this season, hitting .350 with three home runs and 10 RBI so far. Not only that, but Cabrera is in the 86th percentile in xBA and 68th percentile in exit velocity. With six of his nine extra-base hits coming against right-handed pitchers this season, look for him to get a good piece today off of Michael Wacha, who has struggled mightily this season.

Honorable Mention: Yasiel Puig ($3,400) at OAK.

Lineup Stack: Colorado Rockies vs. San Francisco Giants (LHP Derek Holland)

Derek Holland in Coors, sign me up. I find it very hard to believe the lefty will have an easy time today against a tough Rockies lineup, especially on the road. With the highest over/under total of the day coming in at 10.5, current Rockies are hitting a combined .293 against Holland. Plug in your Rockies hitters wherever you can.

Honorable Mention: New York Yankees vs. Seattle Mariners (RHP Mike Leake).
