Every morning we review the five best pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the Week. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Stephen Strasburg’s Changeup – It has been a fantastic run for Strasburg as he’s held a 2.07 ERA over his last 10 starts. The big difference has been an improvement in both his secondary pitches, with his Changeup taking the main stage last night. (Thanks to Matugi1 for the tip!)

Carlos Martinez’s Slider – Martinez has in prime form against the Brew Crew, featuring a variety of fantastic pitches across the start. First up is a Slider off the plate to opposing pitcher Ariel Pena who has had better days swinging a bat.

Carlos Martinez’s Changeup – Carlos also featured his nasty Changeup often as well, generating a ton of drop on this 90 MPH pitch that dove under Domingo Santana’s bat.

Tyson Ross‘ Fastball – It was a solid night for Ross who only allowed 1 ER while accumulating nine strikeouts across six innings of work. For those that think this front-door 93 MPH Fastball is not a strike, I suggest taking a look at this.

Gerrit Cole’s slider – Gerrit steered his Pirates to a victory over the Cubs Tuesday afternoon, and his Slider was doing some damage. Check out this sweeper that slid under Dexter Fowler’s bat.
