Here are your morning rankings for today’s starting pitcher options.
It’s not perfect and will be far from the actual results at the end of the day, though it should give guidance for those questioning who to slot into your lineup on a given day.
Note: I’ve made a change moving forward to this daily article. I’ll now be including a second table for tomorrow’s starting pitcher matchups as well, helping everyone get a jump on their nightly pickups. Please note that these matchups are subject to change, though, and there will be times when I have the incorrect pitcher going. I thank you for your future understanding.
Pitchers highlighted in yellow = Possible streaming options.
FS = False Starter where there is an assumed opener actually starting the game.
Red = Postponed.

Loaisaga has been bumped to the bullpen and Domingo German has been moved back up to Tuesday
I knew this and I still let it slip. Blegh.
Thanks a lot! It’s been updated.
Why so down on Maeda? He has a 14% swingingstrike% and Chicago should be pretty cold (pitcher weather) tonight.
He’s a bit volatile and while I certainly love the strikeout ability, he’s been a bit middling thus far + a date in Wrigley could be shaky. (I’m not sure the cold weather helps or hurts Maeda!)
That’s fair. Would you go Hendricks in AZ over him?
Yep!
Not sure of the best way to push this idea forward, but the Internet is missing a place to recap yesterday’s minor league performances. A lot of content gets published here and I would bet that a regular minor league column would get the views of many other columns collectively. Minorleagueball used to do it but they are defunct. You don’t have to get them all, but a few notable performances is a start and the community takes it from there.
That’s definitely something to consider! We do have a weekly rundown of the notable performances and it can be tough to track down *all* the games and sift through what to talk about every day.
Definitely something to be open to and I’ll bring it up to the team.
Freeland on the DL correct?
Ah, yep. Let me update that, thanks!
It’s Chad Bettis instead and that’s a horrible option.
Michael Wacha is on the IL. PonceDeLeon is making the start today. If he’s as good as Wacha, I’ll be happy.
Great lists! I have to make a decision tonight…It’s either slot in Rich Hill for the week (Hill potential start this weekend vs. Pit) or Chris Paddack for the week (Paddack tomorrow vs. Sea), thoughts?
Oh no! I should have asked the question earlier in the day, I went with Hill, here’s to hoping for a gem!
