Bradford did not see much time in 2019 due to an elbow injury leading to Tommy John. The fastball stayed about 91 mph and still kept hitters to a sub-.200 average. He lost some control walking a lot more and striking out less which may have been due to the injury.
Bradford’s slider had a swinging strike of 15% or above until this season where it dropped to 11.2%. He gave up a few too many home runs and had a 100% zone contact rate. However he did have a 25% strikeout rate.
Bradford’s change up looks pretty similar to his slider but resulted in much worse outcomes. He allowed two homers on only 32 pitches at a 66.7% HR/FB rate. He does not throw that pitch too often as he should.
