Matt Harvey’s Curveball – Despite allowing 4 ER, Harvey sent down nine Phillies in Wednesday’s outing. Watch The Dark Knight place this Curveball right along the outside corner as it falls off the table underneath Cesar Hernandez’s bat.
Clayton Kershaw’s Slider – It was your typical Kershaw dominance last night, as the Dodgers ace went the distance with 15 strikeouts on the way. His Slider often gets overshadowed by his signature hook, but this back-door slide piece to Buster Posey was the belle of the ball.
Yordano Ventura’s Fastball – I’m a simple man with simple tastes, such as watching 98 MPH Fastballs hit their spot on the low-outside corner with horizontal movement. The fact that this Ventura heater came in a full count is just icing on a delicious cake.
Ian Kennedy’s Curveball – Kennedy racked up twelve strikeouts in San Diego last night, and his Curveball was looking pretty. Check out this bender as it falls to the bottom of the strike zone to fan Chris Gimenez.
Masahiro Tanaka’s Fastball – Tanaka coasted to an easy victory against the Sox after the Yankee bats came alive for 13 runs. That didn’t prevent the Japanese import from displaying his best stuff including this front-door Fastball that featured a big banana curve to the plate.
