Jeurys Familia’s Fastball – The Mets pulled off another victory in New York as Familia came in shut down the Rockies. For the second out, he fanned on a 97 MPH Fastball that has no right moving this much. (Thanks to @nv and Reddit user Metsican for the tip!
Chris Sale’s Slider – Sure, we all know Sale has an incredible Slider, but who doesn’t want to see it every time he’s on the hill? This one to Taylor Featherston satisfied our itch.
Johnny Cueto’s Fastball – It was a brilliant CGSHO for the newly acquired Royal, and Kansas City fans couldn’t be happier. This 95 MPH Fastball to J.D. Martinez is simply unfair with boatloads of movement in on his hands. The shimmy beforehand and behind-the-plate shot are just icing on the cake.
Jon Gray’s Slider – Gray performed well in only his second start on a major league hill, though he left the contest with a no-decision. While he can throw 95 MPH, Gray elected to spin this sweet Slider under the hands of Michael Conforto and it worked perfectly. (Thanks to @andrewlacy52 for the tip!)
Matt Boyd’s Slider – The Tigers have a pair of new arms in Boyd and Daniel Norris in return for shipping off Mr. Price, and the former has only impressed in his new uniform. While it was a tough first few batters last night, he recovered with a great Slider to Eric Hosmer that induced a satisfying reaction.
