Every morning we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the Second Half Contest. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Zack Greinke’s Curveball – It was business as usual for Greinke as he dismantled the Astros, pitching 6.2 innings of shutout ball as he fanned nine Houston batters. His best pitch of the night may have been his final out, which came from this 75mph Curveball to Marwin GonzalezJust look at how much vertical drop he gets on this pitch.

Michael Fulmer’s Fastball – Monday night didn’t give us the performance we wanted to see as Fulmer returned from his two-week DL stint, but he did flex his muscles a bit as he spotted this 97mph Fastball on the inside corner. This kind of movement in the upper 90s paired with great command is a thing of beauty.

Brandon Workman’s Curveball – This pitch would normally get lost in the mix coming in the top of the ninth with a four run deficit, but Workman broke Edwin Encarnacion’s back with a bender that should be remembered for days. (Thanks to @PitchingNinja for the tip!)

Collin McHugh’s Slider – After struggling mightily against the Chicago White Sox, McHugh got back on the horse and gave the Astros a solid outing in Arizona as he fanned six batters in just under six innings. His first strikeout came against Paul Goldschmidt with a beautiful Slider that started along the outside corner before diving off the plate.

Trevor Bauer’s Curveball – Bauer has been absolutely devastating in his last four starts, holding a 1.88 ERA and fanning over thirty batters in that time. He can thank an increase of Cutters/Sliders for his success while his Curveball has been just as filthy as ever. Watch him get out of the second inning with the pitch as it carved up Jackie Bradley Jr.
