What is happening!

After a tough offseason where our articles and player pages were maliciously deleted, Pitcher List is back open indefinitely for the 2017 season and beyond. Don’t worry! We have a lot in store for the site this year, with many improvements across the site ahead:

  • Every pitcher in the majors with their own player page + GIFs of their repertoire, with Starters arriving by the end of February and Relievers before the start of the season
  • Pitchers not in the system will be added to the database the day after their MLB debuts
  • Dedicated mobile site with a unique UX for smoother player pages, reading new articles, and integrated Twitter feed
  • Hitter List is coming to fruition with daily hitter roundups with a Hitter List once a week ranking the Top 150 hitters to own ROS
  • We’ve added many more writers, including dedicated content for OBP leagues, Dynasty leagues, and Weekly-lock leagues
  • Daily videos discussing all fantasy updates you need to know about for the day ahead – Sit/Start, injuries, News, etc.
  • Revamped player pages in early April: SP Roundup and GIF Roundup archives, future schedule, VPR tables etc.
  • Patreon launching in February to help fund the site and grant extra benefits to readers including bonus podcasts and exclusive live streams
  • And more fun stuff we’ll reveal in the near future

Needless to say, there’s a lot in the mill for Pitcher List in 2017 and we hope you’re as excited as we are. Hope to see you on the site year round!

    VPR = volatility?

    • Nick Pollack says:

      Yep! Volatility Performance Ratios. It’s a stat I came up with in 2015 and haven’t been able to realize it on the site fully yet. Really excited to see it happen this year!

      • Moth says:

        Awesome! I was really excited about the stat when you invented it and I’ve been itching to see it come to fruition. Really looking forward to it, thanks for doing it!

    Just want to say — glad to see the site back up and running. Discovered you mid-season last year and am excited to integrate your pitching rankings into my draft strategy this year.

    Cheers!

    Nick, I love reading your articles everyday during my breaks, lunchtimes and daily tinker stinkers. Thanks so much for doing this. I appreciate the way your write, always captivating and keeps me wanting more. Love the little blurbs on each pitcher everyday. And thanks for the early top 100 list! Gives us something early to study.
