Ubaldo Jimenez’s Splitter – He got into some jams last night, but was able to work out of them by making some great pitches. Here he made Torii Hunter chase a Splitter that falls off the table to get one step closing to escaping trouble in the 1st inning.

Ubaldo Jimenez’s Fastball – We couldn’t decide between these two Ubaldo pitches, so we elected to go with both. This Fastball is reminiscent of his glory days with the Rockies as it sneaks back onto the plate at 91 MPH.

Andrew Cashner’s Slider – Cashner allowed only one hit through his first six innings and was looking good early. Jordy Mercer fell victim to this Slider in the second inning that disappeared from the strikezone in a flash.

Trevor Bauer’s Curveball – Bauer has been on a roll in his past three games, allowing only two walks in that span. He struck out nine batters last night including Jake Marisnick who chased this big hook as it hit the dirt well before reaching the plate.

Jacob deGrom’s Fastball – It was an excellent afternoon for deGrom as he collected ten strikeouts across eight frames. He paints this Fastball perfectly on the inside corner (strikezone plot here), causing fun antics from the guest umpires.

Clayton Kershaw’s Curveball – It was Kershaw’s first CGSHO of the season as he silenced the Phillies for the win. Clayton fanned 13 batters in his sparkling outing, and his hook was looking as pretty as ever.
