Top 100 Relievers to Own in Save+Hold Leagues: 8/3 Update

Rick Graham's weekly update of the Top 100 Relievers to own in SV+HLDs leagues.

[sv_hlds_list list_id=”24238″ include_stats=”1″ season=”2018″]

Following up on our weekly Closers and Holds articles will be our Top 100 RP’s for SV+HD leagues every Friday. Use this list to get a feel for the current reliever market and to gauge value for trades, waiver adds, etc. Keep in mind, holds are much more volatile and harder to predict. We’ve only seen one season from a pitcher with more than 30 holds since 2016, while 26 closers have gone over 30 saves in that same timeframe.

NOTES

NOTE: The trade deadline is keeping these rankings very fluid so expect some major changes next week when hopefully the list will start stabilizing.

Rick, WTF happened to Devenski? Did overuse from the last season and a half catch up to him? He was so, so good for that stretch… I hope this isn’t some harbinger of end of the road for him.

I think it has to be overuse from last season. Might just needs an extended break to get back where he once was.

Regardless, his terrible recent stretch and his reduced ROS role in the post-deadline Astros bullpen makes him a safe drop in holds leagues, correct? I have him in a 12 team H2H league. Thanks!

Andrew Miller was actually, finally activated from the DL today. Really not sure what to expect from him at this point, but we all know the elite upside so I’d probably have him somewhere in tier 2.
