Following up on our weekly Closers and Holds articles will be our Top 100 RP’s for SV+HD leagues every Friday. Use this list to get a feel for the current reliever market and to gauge value for trades, waiver adds, etc. Keep in mind, holds are much more volatile and harder to predict. We’ve only seen one season from a pitcher with more than 30 holds since 2016, while 26 closers have gone over 30 saves in that same timeframe.
NOTES
- Arodyz Vizcaino rejoined the list following after being activated off the DL this Tuesday following some shoulder soreness and hopefully can return to the form he should prior to the injury. I do have my doubts though, and his velocity was down in his first game back Wednesday. We had 2 more relievers rejoin the list after some lengthy DL stints in Ryan Buchter and Pat Neshek as well as Victor Arano, Kyle Crick and Justin Anderson finding their way back on the list.
- We lost a total of 6 relievers this week with Ryan Tepera and Shane Greene to the DL while Sammy Solis, Louis Coleman, Juan Nicasio and Oliver Perez were pushed off the list.
- Edwin Diaz was the only reliever with 4 SV+HD’s this week, while 6 others had 3. Diaz continues his ridiculous first-half run and now has 7 more SV+HD on the next guy with a total of 34.
Would Carl Edwards Jr make this list now that he’s been activated?
Wasn’t expecting him to be activated after his rehab stint, but now that he is I’d say he slots in somewhere towards the end of tier 2/beginning of tier 3
Cool. Thanks.
