Top 100 Relievers to Own in Save+Hold Leagues: 6/1 Update

Following up on our weekly Closers and Holds articles will be our Top 100 RP’s for SV+HD leagues every Friday. Use this list to get a feel for the current reliever market and to gauge value for trades, waiver adds, etc. Keep in mind, holds are much more volatile and harder to predict. We’ve only seen one season from a pitcher with more than 30 holds since 2016, while 26 closers have gone over 30 saves in that same timeframe.

NOTES

• Felipe Vazquez melted down in epic fashion again last night, not even recording an out before allowing 5 (4 earned) runs. His velocity looked fine and he only issued one walk, but it’s obviously concerning that he continues to mix in these terrible outings which have raised his ERA to 4.84. There isn’t a clear cut line of  succession in place here if Vazquez were to land on the DL or lose his job outright, but Kyle Crick has been working in front of him recently and does have a cool 1.93 ERA.
• We had a bunch if names leave the list this week. Adam Ottavino, Andrew Miller, Carl Edwards and Nick Vincent all were removed due to recent injuries that landed them on the DL. Brad Keller left the list due to his insertion into the Royal rotation.
• Sean Doolittle was the lone reliever to have 4 SV+HD’s this week, while 10 others had 3.
