- We have six new additions this week, which include Sam Dyson, Keone Kela, Derek Law, Mark Melancon, Matt Albers, and Joe Kelly. Dyson returned from the IL this past week and has already been productive with 2 holds and 3 K’s while allowing just one hit/baserunner over 2 IP.
- Leaving the list are Steve Cishek, Nathan Eovaldi, Joe Biagini, Justin Anderson, Richard Rodriguez, and Jesse Chavez. Cishek, Anderson, Rodriguez and Chavez all landed on the IL this week, none of which are worth hanging onto unless you have an open IL spot for them. Biagini was optioned to AAA, and while he should be back in Houston soon, isn’t worth stashing.
- We had six pitchers this week pick up 3 SV+HLD’s following last week’s donut. Those include Matt Albers, Aroldis Chapman, Liam Hendriks, Emilio Pagan, Anthony Swarzak and Nathan Eovaldi. Eovaldi actually has 4 holds dating back to last Friday, but those should be the last 4 for him this season as he gets ready to rejoin the Red Sox rotation.
