Notes

  • We have five new additions this week, which include Diego Castillo, Heath Hembree, Carl Edwards Jr.,  Oliver Drake, and Ryan Buchter. Castillo makes his return from a short IL stint and figures to be an option to close out games right away.
  • Leaving the list are Jose Alvarado, Robert Gsellman, Junior Guerra, Juan Nicasio, and Francisco Liriano. While the Rays are getting Castillo back, they are also losing Alvarado for six to eight weeks, making him droppable in all nonkeeper formats.
  • Given the short week, we only had four relievers with two SV+HDs this past week: Greg Holland, Craig Stammen, Brandon Workman, and Kirby Yates. While Holland has been a bit of a roller coaster as of late, it was nice to see him get on track this past weekend. With the Diamondbacks just 1.5 games out of the wild card, they may decide to stand pat at the deadline, so Holland may still be closing a month from now.

Could you see Poche climbing the List relatively quickly? Given his K/9, LOOGY deployment and depleted pen around him, could you see him getting more chances ROS?

  2. Micah says:

No interest in Rodney even though he’s been described as the ‘next man up’ whenever Doolittle’s not available?
