Every week we review the nastiest pitches from the previous week in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the First Half Contest. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @ThePitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Domingo German’s Slider – The Yankees have a plethora of prospects and German is next up for the Bombers. This Slider to Jonathan Schoop reminds me of Luis Severino as it’s thrown hard with great late bite and may have more drop than Luis’s Slider right now.(Thanks to  for the tip!)

Jameson Taillon’s Curveball – It was amazing seeing Taillon back on the hill in such a short time from having testicular cancer and he was in prime form against the Rockies. Our favorite pitch was this signature Curveball that fell a ton to get Trevor Story swinging.

Corey Kluber’s Slider – Kluber had himself another dominant outing, fanning ten Dodgers across seven innings. All his pitches were on point, but this Slider to Corey Seager was just wrong, making the former rookie of the year drop to a knee trying to hit the pitch.

Corey Kluber’s Fastball – It was so much fun to watch Kluber that we had to include another pitch, with this Fastball to Cody BellingerThe amount of horizontal movement Kluber gets here at 92mph is a joy to watch.

Adam Ottavino’s Slider – Ottavino came straight off the DL into his 8th inning role, and he did not disappoint. This Slider to Javier Baez is ridiculous in its crazy sweeping action. The pitch starts on the inside corner and before Baez can stop his swing the ball is in the opposite batter’s box.

Rich Hill’s Curveball – It was an incredibly rocky start from Hill once again where his consistency eluded him. However, when his Curveball works, it works and it got a ton of horizontal movement against Erik Gonzalez to close the third frame.

Brad Peacock’s Slider – Peacock has been a grim reaper for righties his whole career, and his Slider is a big reason why. Any pitch that starts in the strike zone and then ends up in the opposite batter’s box is go to be difficult to hit, as Adrian Beltre can attest.

Yu Darvish’s Slider – While he only earned four strikeouts, he was able to silence the hot hitting Astros in a battle of Texas ballclubs. The amount of lateral bend he got on this slide piece granted it an easy spot on today’s roundup.
