The 8 Nastiest Pitches From Tuesday

The Nastiest Pitches from Tuesday's MLB action

Every morning, the We Love Baseball crew reviews the Nastiest Pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious high-definition GIFs. We want to bring you the highest caliber of nastiness possible, so if you see a nasty pitch, please tell us about it. You can tweet @PitcherList to let us know, and we’ll give you a shout-out here in the article if your tip makes the cut.

As a bonus for PL+ members, let us know about a pitch on the PL+ Discord in the Nasty Pitches Channel, and if your suggestion is included the next day, you’ll be entered into a weekly drawing for a free T-shirt!

Paul Sewald’s Slider

This filthy slider from Paul Sewald got the Mariners within one strike of a 7-5 victory, however, we all know what happened next. Seattle fans don’t need any more torment – let’s just leave this one as is.

Matt Brash’s Slider

Earlier in the game, Matt Brash dropped this absolute hammer of a slider against Trey Mancini. Brash has reinvented himself in the bullpen this year after struggling in the rotation. I’m just glad he’s on the playoff roster so we can enjoy this filth.

Andrés Muñoz’s Fastball

Andrés Muñoz throws absolute gas, and Kyle Tucker really struggled to catch up with this one.

Collin McHugh’s Slider

It was obviously a day full of nasty sliders, and Collin McHugh has one of the nastiest in the league. Jean Segura might agree after flailing helplessly at this one.

Brad Hand’s Slider

Brad Hand got himself out of a jam in this game thanks to this nasty slider against rookie Vaughn Grissom.

Zach Eflin’s Curveball

Zach Eflin had a bit of a scary 9th inning for the Phillies, but he got the job done in the end and gave us this nasty curveball to take with us as a souvenir. Hey Zach, thanks a lot, can you sign this for me?

Cal Quantrill’s Slider

Cal Quantrill may have earned the loss in this one, but he did make the soon-to-be MVP look absolutely silly on this swing.

Trevor Stephan’s Changeup

Whoa, it’s a changeup! After a day full of filthy breaking balls, this changeup from Trevor Stephan came out of nowhere to light up the “oof” meter. I’ll take it.
