Welcome to The List – The weekly top 100 rankings of starting pitchers in fantasy baseball for the rest of the season. Use this list to help make choices on the waiver wire and as a tool to gauge trade value in your fantasy leagues. These rankings are made with 5×5 H2H standard 12-team leagues in mind.

Let’s talk about how the SP landscape has changed since last week:

• It’s the last iteration of The List as you know it for 2018 as next week will be shifting to a stupidly large table anticipating ROS schedules and ranking based on expected opponents. It’s gonna get messy real fast and the sad truth is we’re nearing the end of the year. GOOD LUCK!
• Here are this week’s relevant injuries: Stephen Strasburg’s is returning on Wednesday, Trevor Bauer is most likely out for the rest of the year, Lance McCullers is out until September, while Carlos Martinez will return out of the pen, Tyler Skaggs‘ DL situation well up in the air, and Yu Darvish, Ross Stripling, Michael Fulmer, and Eduardo Rodriguez are still off The List completely as their timetables are questionable and they are not Top 20 assets.
• David Price has been stellar over his last 17 starts and deserved a large jump in the ranks. Conversely, Jose Berrios has been far from the stable asset we wanted him to be and last week’s short start was the final straw for me to lower him significantly.
• I’ve talked plenty about how little ubiquity there is once we get past Rick Porcello, and I elected to re-arrange the order once again as this week reaffirmed some fears on players (Andrew Heaney, Dallas Keuchel, Sean Manaea, Chris Archer, Robbie Ray, Dylan Bundy, Sean Newcomb, Tyler Anderson), while other hot players (Jon Gray, Joe Musgrove, German Marquez, Kyle Freeland, Clay Buchholz, Cole Hamels and Luis Castillo) continued to excel. Sorry for the quick way of touching on a lot of guys, but it really is that simple.
• Austin Gomber and Lucas Gioltio join The List this week. Gomber has a solid rotation spot on the Cardinals once again, while Giolito has taken strides forward including better curveball command and increase fastball velocity.
• These are terrible days for Gio Gonzalez owners as the southpaw has fanned more than five just once in his last 17 starts. Ouch.
• There are a lot of prospect arms here. Michael Kopech is making his MLB debut on Tuesday and should be scooped up everywhere. Stephen Gonsalves and Bryse Wilson are making their debuts tonight, Touki Toussaint may return to the bigs next week, and Jonathan Loaisiga could be starting for the Yanks again soon. Meanwhile, Sean Rein-Foley isn’t as bad as his lines have been thus far and when he gets easier outings, he may provide some value. I threw them all at the end since there is a ton of *shrug* at the moment, but consider them stash arms if there is nothing else to chase.
• Now that Hyun-Jin Ryu is off the DL and proved his health, he’s re-entered The List at a decent spot. Essentially, if he’s starting, go ahead and own him at the backend of your 12-teamer. However, he’ll most likely get hurt again before the season ends, in which case you drop him, and forcing me to not rank him favorably.
