The 5 Best MLB Moments from Tuesday

Only the best from Tuesday.

It’s Wednesday, my dudes!

Tuesday was yet another beautiful day in the world of baseball. We had some interesting off-field moves and controversy, but the gameplay (and subsequent great MLB moments) did not disappoint. Baseball is just the best, isn’t it?

To the Moon ?

Cody Bellinger must have seen a friend in the stands or something because there’s no other explanation for this one.

Or maybe the ball just slipped out of his hands. You decide!

Either way, Belli made Giants fans very, very happy with this one. Keep your head up, kid. At least you’re a World Series champ!

Shohei Ohtani Did His Thing

Future MVP Shohei Ohtani was at it again yesterday, hitting an absolute tank into the RF seats at Angel Stadium.

He also made a fan lose their mind!

We can never have too much Shohei Ohtani appreciation, can we? This fan certainly isn’t tired of his greatness.

Adam Eaton, Painter

Speaking of two-way players in Anaheim…

Scouting Report: Adam Eaton, OF/LHP

Throws 84-86 mph on the 4-seam, topping out at 87-88 mph. Potential for more velocity. Hammer curveball at 69-71 mph, sure to rack up swings and misses. Plus pitch. Elite command overall and could be a solid bullpen option. FV 35+. ETA 2021.

Joey VottoSO Hot Right Now

Joey Votto was in the baseball news yesterday for a couple of different reasons, all of them interesting.

Firstly, making a fan for life with this souvenir:

Secondly, for this:

@Reds, please take this down. I hate it.

And, finally, this:

Joey Votto still bangs.

Inside-the-CBP-HR

Philadelphia loves Bryce HarperMaybe it’s the Phillie Phanatic cleats, maybe it’s the “Jawn” t-shirts, or maybe it’s just that his style of play meshes well with fans. Or, maybe it’s plays like this:

Look, I’m not saying the center fielder could’ve played this one better, but…

Congratulations to Bryce Harper for earning himself one heck of a HR!

Outside of the MLB, yesterday marked the beginning of Olympic baseball! The Dominican Republic and Japan, the #1 team in the world, clashed yesterday to kick off the Olympic round-robin stage. If you missed PitcherList’s previews of the 6 teams in the Olympics, check each of them out under the “Olympics” tab on the site. Tomorrow, Team Israel will take on South Korea at 6 am ET/3 am PT, and Team Mexico will battle the Dominican Republic at 11 pm ET/8 pm PT.
