The 5 Best MLB Moments from Thursday

The best of Thursday's slate of games!

We have less than two Thursdays to go until the end of the season. Time really does fly when you’re having fun. I hope you, reader, have been having fun this season because I sure have. Writing this article each week has made me appreciate the smaller moments in baseball a little bit more, the moments not reflected in the box score or the fantasy score. These moments are less frequent than home runs but far more special to me.

Anyway, Thursday brought us Phanatic dances, Knapp sacks, and picture day. Let’s take a look!

Phanatic and the Fanatics

I, uh… don’t know what’s going on here. But, it sure does look fun.

Now, wait until Commissioner Manfred sees this! Who needs pace-of-play rules when you can just have a ton of this? It’s fun for the kids and fun for the adults.

Speaking of the Phillies…

Only in the City of Brotherly Love, man.

Large Glove

This man has a large glove and he intends to USE IT! You might actually need to use a large glove on a 407-foot, 109 mph EV home run.

It’s a little unfair to play with such a large glove, but he seems so happy that I have to let it slide. Good for him for catching a Bobby Bradley home run. He’s going to treasure that ball for a long time.

There was no fight to be had, but the Rockies’ grounds crew was ready for one!

The crew kind of looks like your mom checking in on you while you’re reading late at night and trying to pretend you’re asleep. Hide that flashlight under the covers!

Dodgers Picture Day

Look, I know every team does a group photo thing, but the Dodgers had their yesterday and it’s far too good not to share.

I’m just going to share a few of my favorites.

First, Brusdal Graterol:

Second, Joe Kelly:

And, of course, some of the Dodgers’ rotation (Urias, Kershaw, Scherzer, Buehler):

They look tough. I’d be terrified to face them off the field, just like I am terrified to face them on the field.

Bonus: Dog

Just like the title says.

Enjoy your weekend! Enjoy the final weeks of baseball and best of luck to your team in the playoff race!
