MVP Swap?
The Toronto Blue Jays edged ahead of the New York Yankees in the race for a wildcard spot in the American League after a 5-3 win over the Twins. With the Yankees being embarrassed by Cleveland 11-1, the Blue Jays now hold a 1 1/2 game lead over the Yankees going into a key series against the Rays.
Home Run leader Vladimir Guerrero Jr. collected three hits, a run, and an RBI in the win, furthering his case for the American League’s MVP award over Angels two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani. Former MVP Josh Donaldson wanted to be one of the first to collect some special memorabilia out of the matchup.

It was another son of a former Major League ballplayer that propelled the Blue Jays ahead in the race for October. Bo Bichette smashed his 26th homer of the season.

The two young superstars combined to pull off a superb defensive play in the top of the third inning. The future is bright in Toronto.

Cycle In 5
Cleveland outfielder Eddie Rosario has had a quiet season by all accounts. However, he burst into life yesterday needing just five pitches to hit for the cycle – a single, double, triple, and a homer.

Betts Trades Bat
Some things are bigger than baseball, and that is exactly what Mookie Betts made a statement about in the Dodgers 8-5 win over the Reds. After TJ Friedl pinch-hit for his first home run as a Major League player, Betts made sure the ball came back for the rookie. He then made sure the sporting fan got a special reward.

Here is the momentous moment for the rookie. He hit Tony Gonsolin‘s first pitch of the day into the stands.

All Out Bryce
It has been a phenomenal season for Phillies superstar, Bryce Harper. His form at the plate over the second half of the season has been nothing short of miraculous. He has been doing it all for his team, going all out to create runs in the most creative, hard-working way possible. Like this piece of baserunning to light up Sunday League Baseball.

He also made sure nothing was going to outwit him in the outfield.
