Welcome to Sit/Start where, every Saturday here at Pitcher List, I review all expected starting pitcher matchups for the week ahead. There are three labels: Start, Maybe, and Sit. Outings marked with a Maybe are contingent and dependent on your needs in a standard 5×5 Wins 12-teamer, while the other two are self-explanatory. You’ll notice a few question marks next to some of the names. These are either probable starters that have not been confirmed or is a situation where the team will use the bullpen to fill innings. I’ve added a little wrinkle with a few more teams electing to use an opener such as the Rays, Brewers, and Angels. These spots in the rotation will be listed as Opener/potential long man. Feel free to question my designations in the comments and we’ll dive into it together.

Not a lot of green on this week’s list.
It’s a bit of a light week with six teams playing only 5 games this week. Some tough matchups for decent pitchers like Strahm and Gausman. After yesterday’s start, I’d lean towards changing Giolito to a start this week.
Both Maybes so figured i’d ask: Darvish or Musgrove this week in a points league?
Musgrove over Darvish for me. Darvish can’t seem to find the strike zone. He has more K upside than Musgrove but has a lot more risk as well.
Why is Mikolas a ‘Sit’ against the Rangers? Still a wait-and-see even after his last 2 starts?
The Rangers have really started to hit and I don’t trust Mikolas at Globe Life in Arlington
