Sit/Start Week 4: Reviewing All Starting Pitcher Matchups From 4/22-4/28

Welcome to Sit/Start where, every Saturday here at Pitcher List, I review all expected starting pitcher matchups for the week ahead. There are three labels: Start, Maybe, and Sit. Outings marked with a Maybe are circumstantial and dependent on your needs in a standard 5×5 Wins 12-teamer, while the other two are self-explanatory. You’ll notice a few question marks next to some of the names. These are either probable starters that have not been confirmed or are pitchers who may be subject to an opener. Feel free to question my designations in the comments and we’ll dive into it together.

Why the hesitation with Peacock’s first start at home vs Twins? Don’t think he’ll be stretched out?

  Exactly. The last time he threw five innings was 4/7. I think he’ll be on a pitch count, so five innings might be his limit but I’d expect 4+ making a QS impossible and a W is a longshot. He’s got a better chance in the second start and a nice matchup. Still a decent option for the week.
