Every Sunday here at Pitcher List, I review all expected starting pitcher matchups for the week ahead. There are three labels: Start, Maybe, and Sit. Outings marked with a Maybe are circumstantial and dependent on your needs in a standard 5×5 Wins 12-teamer, while the other two are self-explanatory. Feel free to question my designations in the comments and we’ll dive into it together.

    Nick, great stuff as always. Would appreciate your help locking in my final pitching spots in a H2H points league going into Week 1 playoffs. Need 2 of these 3 “Maybe”s:
    Gant vs. LAD
    Tyler Anderson @ SF
    Jose Urena @ NYM, @ PHI
    Right now I’m leaning Urena and Gant, Anderson has been too inconsistent even though SF vs. Stratton sounds cushy. Urena is the worst of the three, but I have no other two start pitchers going. I don’t have to start him @ Philly though. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

      Urena since it’s two starts.

      I’m not a big fan of Gant, honestly, and think you’re better off with Tyler as the Giants are terribly weak.

    Nick, love this. Can’t tell you how helpful it is.

    In a H2H categories league, would you be any more willing to roll the dice with some of the maybes or even sits like Godley, Gibson, or Pivetta if your opponent was rolling out “weaker” sits like Newcomb, Fedde, or Suarez?

    Would you rather start Veldez against Detroit or Pena against Texas. Where innings pitched and going for the W really Matter.

    I’ve been looking for your 9/17 – 9/23 Sit or Start list? Was 9/10 – 9/16 your last one? My Yahoo fantasy league is still going on for possibly this week….and next if I make the Championship. Either way thanks for your great work all season!
