Two heavy hitters square off in the first round, each showcasing their big hooks that freeze batters in the box. First we have Yu Darvish and his “sky hook” that stuns batters with its low velocity as the pitch seemingly falls from the clouds to land inside the strikezone. Meanwhile, Clayton Kershaw has turned heads for years with his Curveball and gave us a great look at its remarkable drop while buckling the knees of Drew Stubbs. We couldn’t have GIF tournament without these two pitching masters, but one will be forced to make an early exit.
