Every weekend here at Pitcher List, I review all expected starting pitcher matchups for the week ahead. There are three labels: Start, Maybe, and Sit. Outings marked with a Maybe are circumstantial and dependent on your needs in a 12-teamer, while the other two are self-explanatory. Feel free to question my designations in the comments and we’ll dive into it together.

Here’s the massive table containing every Week 7 start from 5/15 – 5/21:

Please explain why Lance McCullers is a Maybe versus Miami. I would have thought he’d be a start. Thanks.

  2. Rob C says:

What’s the worry with Triggs against Seattle? They seam to be struggling to hit right now and Triggs has been pretty good so far.

    • Nick Pollack says:

If you own him and rely on Triggs in any way, yeah you start him. I’m more expressing that I have some concerns given that he’s already performed poorly against them this season and I put more weight in the grand scope of a team than a small stretch from the Mariners standpoint – they’re still a top 10 offense in my book.

  3. Andy says:

Why is Corey kluber listed as starting for the 19th?

    • Nick Pollack says:

My source believed he would be returning, but I think you’re right and we won’t see him this week.

      Sorry about that!

  4. Baseball says:

‘Maybe’ doesn’t do anybody any good. I read these articles to find the answer to maybe.

  5. jakerg23 says:

Yahoo has 5/16 Phi vs Tex being Eickhoff, and him two-starting on sunday @Pit. Confirm? Also, does this make him a ‘sit’ against Darvish on monday?

    • Nick Pollack says:

I’m seeing Eflin and Eickhoff from multiple sources, but I’d start him both against Texas and PIT even if Darvish is involved.

  6. Nick Konen says:

Garza against SD this Wed should be a start in my book. Most pitchers are a start against them and Garza looks decent lately. I would love to hear why he should sit… Maybe his FIP is off. Thanks

    • Nick Konen says:

The reason is I am considering taking Garza over Nelson right now for this week streaming. Would you take Nelson over Garza right now? Thanks guru!

  7. Max says:

Taijuan vs. the Padres is a clear start.

    • Nick Konen says:

For sure. I wish he was available. Maybe in a 6 -8 team league he would be . Ours is only 10.

  8. Kyle says:

Karns worth the pick-up in an 8-man league? You seem pretty high on him, especially after reading this week’s PitchList.

Which 2/3 would you start: Karns, Berrios, Gio Gonzalez?

  9. Nick Konen says:

Start Andrew Triggs or Jimmy Nelson tonight?

  10. jake says:

Drop somebody like A.J. Griffin or Trevor Bauer for Jesse Hahn or Alex Cobb? If so, which ones? 10 team H2H

    • Nick Pollack says:

I don’t think any of those four should be owned in a 10 teamer…Alex Cobb is my favorite in the short term for his next start.
