Every weekend here at Pitcher List, I review all expected starting pitcher matchups for the week ahead. There are three labels: Start, Maybe, and Sit. Outings marked with a Maybe are circumstantial and dependent on your needs in a 12-teamer, while the other two are self-explanatory. Feel free to question my designations in the comments and we’ll dive into it together.
Here’s the massive table containing every Week 21 start from 8/21 – 8/27:

Rodon and Rodriguez are both available, which should I pickup to start tomorrow?
I’d go Rodon.
We starting Max this week.? What if the neck still bothers him when he’s eligible to return? That’s my concern. Have 2 start Skaggs as well as Castillo v Pitt, Wacha v TB. I need two. Leaning Scaggs> Wacha> Castillo. What say you?
I think that’s a risk you need to take with Scherzer.
I’d rather Castillo over Skaggs and Wacha. That Houston start is super risky for Skaggs.
Would you go with two-start Taillon or risk it with Max?
Taillon. Don’t want to take the risk with Scherzer.
I take this back Chucky, I looked into Scherzer’s issue more and I don’t buy that he’ll be back in time. No need to rush him given the Nats’ situation.
Castillo + Skaggs.
Need to start 2 of these guys: looking to protect ratios. M. Fulmer (vs Yankees, not CHW), C. Anderson, Bauer, or Taillon.
Or I could play 3 and sit shane greene. I am chasing saves and need to put Oh in my lineup and greene hasn’t gotten any saves in 2 weeks
Don’t sit Greene.
Even with Yanks instead of ChiSox, I trust Fulmer the most.
clevinger,, rodon or rodriquez for Monday? All available
Rodon
H2H Points league, pick 1 :
Castillo v. KC; Hyun Jin Ryu @ PIT; Ray @ NYM. Thank you.
Castillo, but he’s getting the Pirates not KC.
Nick, you’re OK with starting Morton against WSH? I’m a little hesitant
The Nats haven’t been scary while Harper has been out + Morton has looked great recently. I’m going for it.
Cheers!
JA Happ pushed to Friday vs MIN. Still a “Start”? MIN one of top OPS teams as of late.
Yep, I’m still starting Happ there.
