Every weekend here at Pitcher List, I review all expected starting pitcher matchups for the week ahead. There are three labels: StartMaybe, and Sit. Outings marked with a Maybe are circumstantial and dependent on your needs in a 12-teamer, while the other two are self-explanatory. Feel free to question my designations in the comments and we’ll dive into it together.

Here’s the massive table containing every Week 20 start from 8/14 – 8/20:

There’s currently a “Show Entries” drop down menu that maxes out at 100, there are 102 starts. Can’t see the last two.

Wow… not a lot of green this week.

    Starting Rodon against the Dodgers?

Why are all the sites (including pitcherlist) showing Bumgarner going on the 15th and then Mon the 21st. He usually goes every 5 days and there aren’t any breaks, I’d expect 15th and 20th for 2 starts this week. Probable pitchers show TBD for Sat/Sun. Am I missing something?

Because of yesterday’s double-header, the assumption is that the Giants will find a starter for tomorrow (Cain?) to give Stratton an extra day of rest before he’d normally pitch (would be just 3 days if they followed the normal rotation), then send the rotation back a day –> Shark, Stratton, Moore, Blach, Bumgarner.

Would you start a two-start Castillo or a one-start Taillon? I’m in a points league, so if Castillo blows up against the Cubs, his second start may not help enough to offset the damage.

I’m in a points league and we have a limit of pickups. I have 2 left and I’m down 60 this week. Should I go for it this week and pickup newcomb and either gallardo or lively for Sunday or should I use the pickups on next week starts on Monday
