Ranking All of Today’s And Tomorrow’s SP Matchups – 9/17 & 9/18

Nick Pollack ranks every starting pitcher matchup for today's and tomorrow's games.

Here are your morning rankings for today’s starting pitcher options.

It’s not perfect and will be far from the actual results at the end of the day, though it should give guidance for those questioning who to slot into your lineup on a given day.

There is a second table for tomorrow’s starting pitcher matchups as well, helping everyone get a jump on their nightly pickups. Please note that these matchups are subject to change, though, and there will be times when I have the incorrect pitcher going. I thank you for your future understanding.

Pitchers highlighted in yellow = Possible streaming options.

FS = False Starter where there is an assumed opener actually starting the game.

Red = Postponed.

Damn, Odorizzi is going to be busy pitching on back-to-back days!

    • Nick Pollack says:

Man, I even spent a whole bunch of extra time to make sure I had all the matchups right for today and tomorrow.

      Thanks! Just fixed.

      • PitcherList Superfan says:

        Lol I know you did!

No problem, Nick, Least I could do for all of the work that you do for us throughout the year. Thank you for another successful season, I really appreciate it.

  2. Chris says:

I thought Lynn was pitching today…

  3. AJ says:

Anyone know if German will be a bulk guy today (Severino) or tomorrow (CC?)

  4. Ted says:

    Ahhh Bundy got bumped!?

  5. Derek says:

ESPN is reporting that Dunn is just opening for Tommy Milone. Could see them as a CC/Domingo style combo though

    • theKraken says:

Not being a legit SP is the worst outcome you could hope for – basically an RP that can’t earn wins. Working with Tommy Milone really doesn’t sound too encouraging. Pitching for SEA isn’t great. Pass.

  6. Frankie says:

I hate myself for using N Eovaldi in my semi-final matchup. What WAS I thinking?!

    • Nick Pollack says:

Ugh, so frustrating, I’m right there with you.

Thing is, if you told me Eovaldi was to get 85+ pitches against the Giants, you’d expect so much better, you know?

  7. theKraken says:

Poche enters a perfect game, walks first two hitters lol

  8. theKraken says:

I’m bumping Shark up a bit. That long game, a short start today and a guy that won’t go long tomorrow could be rough. I wouldn’t be surprised if any position players sat out either. SF scored some runs tonight. Not saying its great but I like it a lot more than I did a few days ago.
