Here are your morning rankings for today’s starting pitcher options.
It’s not perfect and will be far from the actual results at the end of the day, though it should give guidance for those questioning who to slot into your lineup on a given day.
Note: I’ve made a change moving forward to this daily article. I’ll now be including a second table for tomorrow’s starting pitcher matchups as well, helping everyone get a jump on their nightly pickups. Please note that these matchups are subject to change, though, and there will be times when I have the incorrect pitcher going. I thank you for your future understanding.
Pitchers highlighted in yellow = Possible streaming options.
FS = False Starter where there is an assumed opener actually starting the game.
Red = Postponed.

Fyi on why no one in Yahoo can find Eickhoff: he’s listed as ‘pitcher’
Not relief pitcher
Not starting pitcher
PITCHER
I believe Turnbull got moved up a day….
What do the bolded names mean?
Hey Alex,
We bold all player names, but the ones that link to our database automatically turn into a blue hyperlink. For each pitcher whose name doesn’t show up blue, he’s either not in our database or something strange happened on the back-end. It doesn’t actually mean anything about the player otherwise.

Nick, please consider adding another list to the site: Paternity List. It would keep track of which players’ wives are expecting along with their estimated due dates.
I have been burned so many times by these paternity leave stints and they’re ALWAYS reported in “out of the blue” fashion after the fact.
This week’s mysterious Turnbull double-start that was and then wasn’t and then was again is the most recent example. On Sunday, Turnbull was set to start Tuesday. On Monday, Ross was suddenly bumped up from Wednesday to Tuesday and NOBODY knew why. It only came out on Tuesday that the Tigers were attempting to squeeze one last start out of Ross before he went on paternity leave.
