Noah Syndergaard’s heater looks incredibly deceptive at a blistering 98mph, though the off-center camera may trick the eye more than we think. On the other hand, Nick Pivetta’s 96mph fastball is exactly how we see it, with a pitch starting over the plate before whipping into the opposite batter’s box. Both are downright filthy, but only one will have a chance to be the nastiest.
