Every morning, we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious high-definition GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the First Quarter Contest. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @PitcherList, and we’ll GIF it up and give you a shoutout here in the article.

Noah Syndergaard’s Changeup

Noah Syndergaard has struggled in the early going, but is still missing bats aplenty with his electric stuff (no pun intended). Thor absolutely dropped the hammer on Grandal here.

Clayton Kershaw’s Slider

Not sure what’s crazier: this slider from Clayton Kershaw, or this slide from Clayton Kershaw. Either way you lean, batters were devestated by the Klaw today.

Jose Alvarado’s Fastball

At a certain point, I should probably stop using Jose Alvarado in these articles just because of how often I use him as an auto-nasty pitch card, but I won’t. Partially because it makes my life easier, but also because he’s going to keep throwing utter filth like this offering here.

Jose Berrios’ Curveball

Yes, this pitch was to the lowly Pedro Severino, but I could have picked any number of Jose Berrios curveballs from this outing, they’re all absolutely eye-popping. If he could just be a bit more consistent, Berrios could be one of the best starters in baseball n the wings of one of the Big’s finest off-speed offerings.

Pedro Baez’s Changeup

I didn’t quite get to use my obligatory obscure reliever in today’s roundup, but Pedro Baez is close enough. This change is perfectly placed on the corner, and Josh Bell hits a whole lot of nothing.

Lol, that Baez CH is siiiiiiiiick…

Lemme guess, you’re hooked on Reyes Moronta and HIS new CH? That’s downright filthy too, I don’t blame you. Can’t wait for him to take more of a role if he can maintain his control.
