Nathan Eovaldi’s Fastball + The Nastiest Pitches From Thursday’s Game

Every morning we review the nastiest pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the Playoffs Contest. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Send us a tweet next time @PitcherList and we’ll GIF it up + give you a shoutout here in the article.

Nathan Eovaldi’s Fastball – Sometimes all you need is a good old fashioned heater. Eovaldi brings 102 on the outside black here, getting a big swing from Alex Bregman.

Justin Verlander’s Curveball – A pair of home runs did Verlander in on Thursday, as the Red Sox managed to advance to the World Series. Verlander’s curveball, however, still had its moments – as Christian Vazquez found out the hard way.

David Price’s Cutter – The camera angle doesn’t do this pitch justice, but Price managed to paint this cutter right on the outside black for strike three. Six shutout innings and the Price is right – and finally in the playoff win column.

Roberto Osuna’s Changeup – Osuna’s changeup rode its way down and away from Mitch Moreland here for a big strike three.
