A hero for so long in Atlanta, Freddie Freeman returned to Truist Park with his new team, the Los Angeles Dodgers and emotions were running high.

After collecting his World Series ring, the first baseman was noticeably choked up by the feelings mustered by his poignant return. He received quite the welcome in his first plate appearance.

And he made himself available to the broadcast crew on Sunday Night Baseball to discuss his own approach to the moment. Ken Rosenthal sitting with the man who will be forever a legend in Atlanta.
"I'm not looking to have any closure. I don't want to close something that was so special for me for 15 years."

It was almost a fairytale finish for Freeman, who hit a go-ahead double in the top of the 10th inning as a tight affair in Atlanta came down to extra innings after Kenley Jansen gave up two runs in the ninth to blow the save opportunity.
Freddie Freeman comes through against his former team with a go-ahead double to deep right field! What a storybook ending this would be if the Dodgers can hold on. #AlwaysLA #ForTheA #Dodgers #Braves #MLB pic.twitter.com/nJP4pUZj2X

His replacement in Atlanta, Matt Olson wasn’t so accomodating however as a trademark celebration to the bench after his game-tying single in the 10th inning ended up clocking Freeman in the head. It was all smiles and sorries, in truth.

After the Dodgers took the lead in the top of the 11th inning thanks to a clutch hit from Chris Taylor, fiery reliever Brusdar Graterol brought the heat and raised it to 102 mph to secure the win for the Dodgers.

Judge This Walk Off
In what was an unlikely result for the Yankees after once again being no hit for the majority of the context against the Astros, it was once again a big judgement that salvaged their day. But it was grim for so long.
The Yankees have now been held hitless in 16 consecutive innings
That's tied for the longest such streak in at least the expansion era (since 1961), with:
1981 Dodgers — vs Astros
1973 A's — vs Rangers & Twinsh/t @EliasSports

That was until Aaron Judge stepped up in the bottom of the 10th inning to decide the verdict.

And a nice moment was made even more legendary as the Yankees great decided to hand his walk-off hitting bat to none other than acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee.

Will Smith Catching Clinic
The remarkable one-handed take from Dodgers catch Will Smith on a ball thrown behind the legs of Atlanta’s William Contreras was a true mastery of the catching art. I mean, how??

We’ve seen the lengths to which exciting young Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena will contort and twist his body to avoid tags around the bases. We once again provided the goods with this phenomenal bit of magic to earn the stolen base.

Injuries
The pitching woes for the St. Louis Cardinals continues as Jack Flaherty left his start on Sunday after just two innings with shoulder discomfort. Another trip to the injured list looks unavoidable at this stage.
Another productive veteran, Hunter Renfroe has also returned the to IL after once again injuring his troublesome left calf over the weekend.
