Luis Severino’s slider – There wasn’t a whole lot of baseball on Monday, but we did get a doubleheader between the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers. Game one of that featured a dominant performance from Luis Severino who gave up one run and struck out 10 over eight innings, including this nasty slider to strike out Dixon Machado.

Drew VerHagen’s curveballDrew VerHagen got called up from Triple-A for the Tigers’ doubleheader and promptly got tattooed to the tune of seven earned runs over 3.2 innings. However, he did catch Aaron Judge with this big hook.

Nick Tropeano’s splitter – While Trop collected five strikeouts in 4.2 innings, he also allowed five earned runs to the Kansas City Royals of all teams. One of those strikeouts came with this nice splitter that sent Alex Gordon golfing.

Domingo German’s curveball – German started game two of the Yankees/Tigers doubleheader today and ended up giving up four earned runs over 6.2 innings pitched with just three strikeouts, one of which came on this nice curveball to Niko Goodrum.

Jake Barrett’s slider – Barrett came in relief in the fifth inning after Fernando Salas finished the fourth and pitched two innings giving up one earned run and getting two strikeouts, including this nice slider to Gorkys Hernandez.

Zack Godley’s curveball – So Zack Godley was…..uhhh…..bad on Monday, giving up seven runs over 3.1 innings pitched. But hey, at least he got Andrew McCutchen with this nice knuckle curve….right?

I thought severinos slider to Iglesias was nastier, but good work! ?

Thanks! I was back and forth between a few of his sliders, could’ve easily gone either way. Maybe I should’ve just posted two sliders, that pitch is beautiful haha
