3,000 strikeouts. Congratulations, Justin. What a phenomenal career, filled with ups and downs, but now he has come out on top. A surefire Hall of Famer, that, if he can get a second World Series title this year, can legitimately be considered as one of the all time greats.
Trent Thornton’s Slider

The Blue Jays have a lot to look forward to. Vladdy, Biggio, Bichette in the infield, Pearson, Kay and Thornton on the mound. Thornton may not have the star power or the name recognition of the other guys, but he has tantalizing potential as evidenced by some dominant starts this year.
Luis Severino’s Curveball

He’s back. The Yankees staff just got a lot more formidable with the return of Severino. Even if he starts as/with an opener, Severino’s ceiling is so high that he is capable of single-handedly changing the complexion of a series.
Jesus Luzardo’s Slider

This guy is nasty. He’s already becoming one of the more dangerous bullpen weapons that will make an appearence in the playoffs. Between Luzardo and Puk the Athletics have a nice outlook in the playoffs and moving into the next decade.
Patrick Corbin’s Slider

Corbin has been a great signing (so far) for the playoff bound Nats. Scherzer, Strasburg and Corbin is a formidable 3 headed monster at the top for the team from the Nation’s Capital – as long as they can keep the bullpen off the field!
