Noah Syndergaard’s Changeup – Syndergaard frequently makes this list for his stunning fastball, but checks in today with an equally beautiful 89 mile per hour changeup that runs right into Yadier Molina, who would have struggled to catch that pitch, never mind try and hit it.

Carlos Martinez’s Slider – Going toe-to-toe with Noah Syndergaard is never fun, but Martinez was able to hold his own, throwing six innings and only surrendering one run. Pitches like this tight slider that just cut the corner to fan Brandon Nimmo will keep Martinez in any game, regardless of opponent.

Matt Barnes‘ Curveball – Barnes had his yo-yo with him on Thursday, throwing three of these to Yangervis Solarte. Good morning, good afternoon and goodnight.

Kyle Gibson’s Slider – Kyle Gibson was money on Thursday, striking out ten yankees in six scoreless innings. That included this breaking ball that dove away from poor Gleyber Torres, who didn’t stand a chance.

Chris Sale’s Fastball – Sale got his paintbrush out for this one, coolly delivering a 95 mile per hour heater right at the knees and right on the corner. Nice.

Chris Archer’s Slider – 88 mile per hour sliders just don’t seem fair. 88 mile per hour sliders that drop as suddenly as Archer’s does are especially not fair – just ask Adam Jones.

Chaz Roe’s Slider – If you are getting sick of seeing Chaz Roe’s slider sweeping across the strike zone, then maybe this isn’t the site for you. I could personally watch this pitch flummox opposing hitters all night long.

Michael Fulmer’s Slider – Fulmer has never been known as a strikeout guy, although he has nasty stuff. Case in point is this 88 mile per hour slider in on the hands of Colin Moran, who felt a whole bunch of air on his swing through.
