Every morning we review the five best pitches from the previous day’s games in glorious HD GIFs. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pitch and and check back this weekend to see if it will be in contention for the GIF of the Week. Did we miss your favorite pitch? Johnny Cueto’s Fastball – Cueto hasn’t been the elegant ace the Royals dreamed of when they acquired him at the trade deadline, but the Dreaded Wonder got the job done yesterday against the Mariners and had some fun along the way. Watch him ring up Nelson Cruz on a 93.8 MPH Fastball after five patented shimmies.

Clayton Kershaw’s Curveball – There were some words exchanged with Mattingly after Kershaw was pulled after just five innings and 80 pitches, but the reigning MVP still fanned nine batters in his limited time on the field, including opposing pitcher Patrick Corbin with his signature hook.

Chris Sale’s Fastball – The camera angle is rarely great when Sale is pitching, but there is a bunch of horizontal break back to the plate on this 96 MPH Fastball that left Robert Refsnyder stunned as the inning came to an end.

Madison Bumgarner’s Curveball – His Slider is gets the most attention, but Bumgarner was able to drop this beautiful Curveball to earn a strikeout in Thursday’s affair.

Jumbo Diaz’s Fastball – This will most likely be Diaz’s only appearance on this list in 2015, but it’s well deserved as he painted 97 MPH on the black to David Wright in the ninth inning. (Thanks to Reddit user wschneider for the tip!)
