Jake Diekman’s Slider – Texas was looking for a different outcome in their final home game of the ALDS, and before Diekman allowed a run in the seventh inning he shut down Troy Tulowitzki with this pretty Slider that swept across the strike zone.

Matt Harvey’s Curveball – Outside of a shaky second inning, Harvey looked solid, striking out seven batters across five innings of work for the Win. He struck out his second batter of the game, fanning Jimmy Rollins on a sweet Curveball in the dirt.

Jake Arrieta’s Slider – Call it a Slutter, Cutter, Slider, at the end of the day, the pitch is pure filth. Here Arrieta used it to get Matt Holliday fishing out of the zone on a 3-2 count. At 90 MPH no less.

Lance McCullers’ Curveball – Lance did his part trying to close out the ALDS for the Astros, allowing just 2 ER in 6.1 IP. He allowed just four base runners while striking out seven including Lorenzo Cain on an excellent Curve that falls out of the zone quickly.

Yordano Ventura’s Curveball – Ventura held seven strikeouts through the first three innings, which should make perfect sense after watching this 88 MPH Curveball fall off the table to Chris Carter.
