Jacob deGrom’s Changeup – You know deGrom is locked in when he puts away a hitter of Freddie Freeman’s caliber away on three pitches like this. Freddie has no chance on this 0-2 Changeup.

Chris Sale’s Slider – Chris Sale’s Sliders are cartoon-like. You’ve seen ’em before on the Nastiest Pitches, and you’ll surely see ’em again. This is one of the best pitches in the game.

Dylan Covey’s Fastball- The bird flies past the screen one way and this Two-Seam Fastball flies the other. What a beautiful juxtaposition. This thing has some run to it.

Trevor Bauer’s Slider – Remember that cut on Bauer’s finger after that drone accident a couple years back? Yeah that was nasty, but this is definitely nastier. Bauer has amassed forty-eight strikeouts over his last four starts which is just silly.

Mike Soroka’s Fastball – Well, it looks like there was no DLH for Soroka yesterday as he took a no-hitter into the seventh inning. This 92 mph Two-Seam Fastball has The ToddFather flailing. Welcome back, Mike.

Jameson Taillon’s Slider – This tight Slider to Jeff Mathis has him swinging at nothing. Taillon pitched seven innings of two-run ball in this one to pick up his fourth win of the season.

Zack Greinke’s Curveball- This is a sloooooooooooow-motion  67 mph Uncle Charlie from Zack Greinke or as Vin Scully used to call him in his final years, “Zeinke”. Greinke was roughed up in a loss to the Pirates, but this hook is still something to appreciate.

Jhoulys Chacin’s Slider- This 81 mph Slider from Jhoulys Chacin has Anthony Rizzo completely fooled. Chacin tossed six scoreless innings against the Cubs to claim his sixth win of the season.

Michael Wexler

Lifelong Dodger fan. Left the famous 2004 Steve Finley walk-off homer game in the ninth inning to clinch the division because his Giants fan cousin was late for work. Would've stayed, but I was nine.
