The top 150 hitters for 2022 fantasy baseball, plus a taxi squad.

First, let’s get some basics out of the way in terms of how to interpret these rankings. None of this stuff should come as any major surprise, but it never hurts to provide background:

    Hi Scott,

Need to add a hitter-currently have K. Calhoun-would either Cooper, Nimmo, Santander, or Longoria be an upgrade long term. Just looking for the best player with counting stats. This is for H2H Yahoo 12 teamer.

    Thank you

    Great read Scott!

    12 Team H2H 6×6 3OF OPS Daily Redraft

I currently roster Teoscar, Ward, Castellanos, Winker (recently picked up), , O’Neill (IL), B. Lowe (IL)

I’m super frustrated with Cast. 5R 9RBI 0HR! in the month of June and he looks pretty bad under the hood too. I’m trying to hold him until the break or is he a drop when O’Neill comes back next weekend? I hate to bail on a 4th draft pick, but do you hold because of the draft capital in your experience?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

    • Scott Chu says:

Man, that’s a tough drop! I still rank Casty well above Winker, who I see as more of a “could he be good?” than “he is good”. I know Casty is good, he just isn’t right now. I’d rather trade a piece to upgrade at another position or category, if that’s possible.

      • Barry says:

Thanks for talking me off the ledge. Probably see Castellnos in the batter’s box write up tomorrow! LOL

  3. B says:

Is ke’Bryan Hayes really still worth having? (I’m in a 8 team league and had France, but Matt chapman is available)

    • B says:

Also, is vinnie Pasquantino worth having in 8 team he is stuck on my NA? (My team is Sean Murphy, goldy, polanco, Ke’Bryan Hayes, Soto, tucker, acuna, castellanos, Blackmon, and cron)

    • Scott Chu says:

Yes, though in an 8-team league you can play it pretty fast and loose with less risk than other formats due to the high replacement level. That said, France won’t be out long.

  4. Mark says:

As much as I’d love for Alek Thomas to have 1B & 2B eligibility on my team, I believe he’s OF eligible only in all formats.
