It’s an exciting day today at Pitcher List after we unveiled our Starting Pitcher GIF Database that features GIFs of each pitch inside every MLB starting pitcher’s repertoire. There are an overwhelming amount of GIFs to take in, and in order to get readers acclimated to the giant database we’ve created, I decided to make a scavenger hunt that highlights certain anomalies found among the sea of pitches.

I challenge you to find each of these items in the database, and I encourage you to work with the community to uncover all of them. There may be more than one correct answer per item, and feel free to work with others to uncover each answer.

Good luck searching for these 15 (well, 16) items:

1. A pitch that was just thrown once in 2015

2. A pitch featuring “Honda PitchTrax”

3. A pitcher first-pumping after the pitch

4. Two GIFs: One of each 2015 MVP whiffing

5. A Catcher faking a throw to second after the pitch

6. A pitch that leaves Adam LaRoche looking dumbfounded

7. Name the pitcher who faces the same batter in two different GIFs from two different games

8. A pitch that is taken for a ball

The Catcher’s approval trifecta:

9. Catcher nods his head in approval

10. Catcher lifting his glove in approval

11. Catcher pointing finger at the pitcher in approval

12. A pitch that hits the batter while striking him out

13. A pitch featuring an ad for NY Lotto

14. Dee Gordon giving up on a pitch

15. A pitch where a bird flies by during a GIF

I will be rewarding Reddit gold to the first person to leave on comment on this Reddit thread with all correct answers to add a little spice to the fun. Happy GIF hunting!
